Another common feature of poker is the “showdown” at the end of a betting round. When the final showdown takes place, the pot is won by the person with the strongest hand. Some games may have additional rules, such as the ability to discard some of your cards or to show all of your cards.
One of the most exciting aspects of poker is the bluffing element. If a player does not have a strong hand, he can make a “bluff” by putting a large bet in the pot. However, players do not place their entire bet in the pot at this point, instead opting to “fold”.
